bet365 settle both Wolves and Leeds as winners through their 2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer
Leeds United's remarkable comeback win over Wolves on Friday night not only increased their prospects of staying up, but it also saw bet365 pay out on both Wolves and Leeds as Full Time Result winners.
Wolves were cruising at Molineux at halftime, thanks to goals from Jonny and Trincao, which triggered bet365's 2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer, which meant that all pre-match single and multiple bets on the normal Full Time Result market became winning bets.
At halftime, Leeds' remarkable comeback seemed inconceivable.
"I had them down by halftime," Gary Neville remarked on Sky Sports. "I still can't believe what I saw in the second half." The red card had a significant influence on the outcome, but they still needed to score three goals. That is a huge night for Leeds United Football Club.
When Luke Ayling scored in injury time to add to goals from Harrison and Rodrigo, it meant that all valid bets for Leeds were now winners as well. What an evening!
What is the Early Payout Offer?
While Leeds comeback was the most recent, was it the most painful in Premier League history? Let’s take a closer look at some of the other most dramatic comebacks where football fans would have been retrospectively grateful for bet365’s 2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer
Crystal Palace 3 – 3 Liverpool | Selhurst Park | April 2014
It’s April 2014 and a Damien Delaney own goal has just doubled Liverpool’s lead at Selhurst Park with the club’s first Premier League title within their grasp. Crystal Palace are offering little and when Luis Suarez fires in a third, the travelling Reds’ fans are in ecstasy.
How they wish that bet365’s Early Payout Offer could have been retrospectively recreated in real life, and shake hands on a comfortable win in their title march.
Tottenham 3 – 5 Manchester United | White Hart Lane | September 2001
If you had backed Tottenham Hotspur back in 2001, you would have been over the moon to see Dean Richards and Les Ferdinand score the opening two goals in a dominant first half display that saw them reach half-time 3-0 up.
With your bet now a winner, you could have sat back more comfortably than the home faithful, who witnessed Andy Cole spark a second-half avalanche of Manchester United goals. David Beckham completed a sensational comeback with the fifth goal in memorable 3-5 score line.
Newcastle 4 – 4 Arsenal | St James’ Park | February 2011
The most dramatic of comebacks as Newcastle United created Premier League history to come back from four goals down.
Arsenal backers with bet365 would have been celebrating a winning selection when Johann Djourou scored to put the Gunners 2-0 up, before the match was even ten minutes old.
At 4-0, not even the most optimistic Geordie could have predicted what was to come.
Abou Diaby was shown a red card early in the second half before Joey Barton scored twice from the penalty spot, either side of a strike from Leon Best. The best was still to come as Cheik Tiote completed the comeback with a stunning volley, sending the home fans into raptures.
West Brom 5 – 5 Manchester United | The Hawthorns | May 2013
On what was Sir Alex Ferguson’s final game as Manchester United, it was a late comeback for the Romelu Lukaku inspired West Brom that grabbed the headlines.
With the bet365 Early Payout Offer already in the bag as Manchester United raced into a 3-0 lead, it was looking like a fitting tribute to the legendary manager.
However, three late strikes within five minutes - two from Lukaku either side of Youssouf Mulumbu's effort, saw the Baggies seal an unlikely 5-5 draw in the most unexpected fashion.
